I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
