Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A helicopter soaring over a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators watched.
Recordings uploaded online capture the chopper beginning to twirl above the shoreline then plunging near the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five persons were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
